Bangkok Week 871

What a busy week! We concluded school portrait week with some family photos; finally celebrated Nancy’s birthday; did lots of swimming. Arlo started his piano lessons; we visited the Peacock Cafe for the first time in a long time; and Arlo went on his long-awaited field trip. But perhaps most importantly… Lucy learned to ride a pedal bike! Go, Lucy! 🚲 🚀

At long last, it's Nancy's 2nd birthday! And Lucy (and Arlo) both had a blast.

The beautiful face painting is by neighbor (and St. Andrews student) Anais.

Arlo saw another kid eating a hotdog in a bun, and asked for just the bun with ketchup.

... while Mum & Arlo head to piano.

Arlo is very, very interested in the grand piano in the lobby.

And a special Sunday afternoon visit to the Peacock Cafe.

The peacocks seem to be stuck in a caged-in area, since they kept running away.

There are several new skywalks that have been built since we were last here.

They had a fun, 8-layer stamp collection activity, throughout their property.

There's a new gallery and shop space, too.

They even had free drawing for kids.

That tired out someone!

Going for a late-afternoon scoot...

... which turned into a cycle...

... and culminated in Lucy learning to ride her pedal bike!!!

Way to go, Lucy!!

Huge accomplishment for a 2-year-old!

So very proud of herself.

Monday morning, let's get this week on.

But where's Arlo?

Poor boy is sick at home with a fever.

When feeling better, he helped Dad clean out the fish bowl.

So many fish! (And that's not all.)

The big day is here! Time for the K2/Y1 field trip!

There was tie-dye.

Natural dyes, of course.

And clay sculpting.

And hand-washing!

And the crowning glory...

Well kudos to everyone for going in!
