Bangkok Week 872

At just shy of 3 years old, Lucy graduates from her crib to a (very) big bed! And continues to enjoy biking. Otherwise, it’s a very busy week at school, with special activities each morning on both sides. Enjoy the art, the creations, the little vendors, and the engineer-athletes!

It's going to be a busy week at school this week!

Every day has a different theme. Today -- Monday -- is "Let's Paint."

After a bit of hesitation, Arlo got into the chalk.

Supervisor Lucy eventually got into it, too.

Arlo's very proud of his elevator system.

Day 4, and the cactus is still going strong!

This is right up Arlo's alley.

(And too bad today is the day Mum is dressed for the office afterward!)

... where the theme seems to be, "Let's Splash"!

Well, there will be no paint left after all this water!

Meanwhile, back on Arlo's side, he's still building.

Day 5 for the cactus, and it's finally starting to look worse for wear.

Today is "Let's Count and Measure", and every class has a stand set up in the Annabel's Market.

The Lilies' Lemonade Stand is open and ready for business!

I think they're going to have a pizza party with their earnings.

We were rather late to the market on Lucy's side, thanks to the bustle on Arlo's side.

But on Lucy's side, everything was free!

And Thursday is "Let's Work Together"! First job is crossing this lava flow upon entering the school.

Arlo set to work right away, building a second (and third) bridge.

The Nursery teachers came over to sneak a peek.

Once you survive the volcano, there's an obstacle course that culminates in some weight lifting.

Lucy's being shown the proper technique by a pro.

This part of the obstacle course is supposed to be a bear walk. Good thing Lucy's got a bear with her.

And hopscotch.

And jumping jacks. (Clearly, Lucy had never seen jumping jacks before.)

And a snake crawl. (Yes, this was supposed to be on the tummy.)

And a "how long can you hang?" challenge.

Wow! The action at the Lava has really picked up!

Friday is "Crazy Hair Day", so I'm testing my prototype before committing.

And we're doing a quick proof of concept for Lucy's hair, too.

We also bought face paint... perhaps that was a mistake.

Look at this monkey!

Arlo saw the little clothing for my crazy hair, and wanted to make some of his own.

This is as crazy as Arlo's hair will get tomorrow.
