Bangkok Week 870 — Mika's Photos

The avocado 🥑 is thriving; the papayas 🥭 are sprouting up in force. The weekend was full of playdates, activities, and games. And we even snuck in a date night. What more could we ask for?

Friday morning tug-of-war chaos.

But the air was orange, so we couldn't stay outside for long.

And we received this by email: a super cute pineapple that Arlo made Teacher Selly as a gift.

It's a very colorful Saturday.

Uncle Simon came over for a visit, and Arlo immediately roped him into card & board games.

And then swimming for Arlo.

Teacher Big jumped out of the pool to grab his phone and record a video of Arlo (to show him how his form is not right).

And it's a once-in-a-blue-moon opportunity for Mum & Dad: Saturday date night!

We found a very nice vegan restaurant in Thong Lor, with very good outdoor seating.

Sunday morning, at Yamaha for a taster music class with Arlo.

Meanwhile, Lucy & Dad play all the games at home.

Did I mention, *all the games*?

Then we enjoyed lunch and a playdate with Arlo & Lucy's friends.

Quick dip: their pool is cooler than ours!

Saturday movie night on Sunday night!

Watching Dad head out for work for the day, as a VIP. Door-to-door service!

That evening, Arlo won Code Breaker for the first time.

It's school photo day for Lucy! We couldn't manage a dress, but went for the hair instead.

Hey, somehow the clothes made it through the whole day.

Maybe I spoke too soon!

Arlo still enjoys Tuesday Football.

Dad's on point for dinner & bedtime tonight.

Lots of wacky zaniness to help lighten the mood.

For the rest of the week, the photographers are on Arlo's side of campus. And they're great with kids. Here, leading morning exercises!

Got the folding bike I've been eyeing for ages. And for 1500 off, no less!

Inspired by the photographers at school, who use balloons on sticks to entertain.

Arlo and Nimo apparently spent a good part of the day working on this elaborate canal network.

And in slightly sadder news, walked past the old nursery campus for the first time.

It's gone. Everything is gone. Gonzo. No sign that the nursery was ever there!

But anyway, back at the new nursery, they have shopping carts (and grass that is extremely warm on the feet).

Now a part of her daily routine: checking for Arlo before getting into the car. (He's often there; if not, she shouts at all his classmates, by name.)
